Redmond’s New Community Recreation Center

The Redmond Area Park and Recreation District has a big measure that will be on the ballot this fall. They have proposed the Redmond Recreation Center, a new $49 million dollar community recreation center that would go in at SW 35th and Lava. They believe the new facility is needed to supplement the Cascade Swim Center that has been operating at capacity and unable to keep up with the growing community. If the bond measure passes, the Redmond Recreation Center will be a state of the art facility that includes the following amenities.

Redmond Community Recreation Center Amenities

  • Aquatic Recreation
    • Warm water multi-use pool with zero depth entry
    • Lazy river for recreation and resistance walking
    • Water slide and other play features
    • 25 meter  – 8 lane pool
  • Multi-use gym
    • One high school size basketball court
    • Two middle school size courts
    • Ability to use courts for pickle ball, volleyball and other court sports
  • Raised indoor track
  • Group fitness rooms for classes
  • Cardio and weight equipment room
  • Bouldering wall
  • Multi-function rooms for classes, music programs, art, cooking and other community activities.
  • Teaching kitchen
